"...Company Background Visa Steel Ltd (VSL), an emerging integrated special and stainless steel player, is part of the Kolkata-based VISA Group. It has manufacturing facilities in Kalinganagar and Golagaon, both in Orissa. The company produces pig iron, lam coke, ferro chrome and chrome concentrates. It currently operates a blast furnace with production capacity of 225,000 tpa, a 400,000 tpa coke oven plant, a 50,000 tpa ferro chrome plant, a chrome ore beneficiation plant and a chrome ore-grinding plant with a capacity 100,000 tpa each. It is setting up a 300,000 tpa Sponge Iron Plant, a 75-MW Power plant, inclusive of a 50-MW Waste Heat-Recovery plant, 500,000 tpa Special & Stainless Steel Plant and a 500,000 tpa Bar & Wire Rod Mill, which are currently under implementation.
